Machaba Safaris
For 15 years, Machaba Safaris has grown with the singular belief that wilderness thrives when conservation comes first. From the Okavango Delta and Chobe to Mana Pools, Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe, we offer journeys into Africa’s most pristine wilderness areas. Our expert team is devoted to conserving both landscapes and livelihoods, inviting discerning travellers to experience the magic of untouched Africa through the lens of responsible adventure.
Machaba Wild marks our next chapter, looking beyond traditional safari destinations to Africa’s most overlooked, fragile, and extraordinary ecosystems. These are places protected by their remoteness, requiring care, patience, and conscious discovery. Here, travel moves at nature’s pace. Journeys create insight, not intrusion. Tourism becomes a force that sustains ecosystems and supports the people who live alongside them. Rooted in purpose, with restraint as our guide, Machaba Wild invites travelers to experience raw Africa it is - authentic, untamed and gloriously unrehearsed. Our first camp opens in Gabon in early 2026, with more conservation-led destinations to follow. Machaba Wild exists to ensure Africa’s wild places don’t just survive but endure.
Vikela Safari Lodge
An integral part of the Club Med South Africa experience, Vikela Safari Lodge is situated just 4.5 hours from the Club Med South Africa Beach Resort. The Lodge lies within the private 18,000-hectare Mpilo Game Reserve in northern KwaZulu-Natal - a wild, unspoiled landscape alive with the Big 5 and an abundance of other species. Pondo Beach Camps
Pondo Beach Camps are based in three unique locations on the northern section of the Pondoland coastline of South Africa’s Wild Coast. Comlementing its rich cultural history, it is one of only three biodiversity hotspots within South Africa, boasting a kaleidoscope of endemic fauna and flora. From rugged sandstone cliffs, layered with rolling grass lands teeming with game, to aqua blue waters and ivory coloured beaches below, Pondoland is a largely undiscovered Garden of Eden.
Bayete Zulu Lodges
Born out of the WWF Black Rhino Range Expansion Project, the 23 000 hectare Manyoni Private Game Reserve is now one of KwaZulu-Natal’s leading Big 5 destinations, recognised for its commitment to endangered species protection and ecological balance.
